Digital X-Rays
Dental x-rays are an important part of a thorough dental examination. Many oral diseases can't be detected on the basis of a visual and physical examination alone. They can expose hidden tooth decay, reveal a tooth abscess, cyst or tumor and show impacted or extra teeth. They can also help to determine the condition of dental fillings, crowns, bridges and root canals. X-rays can also reveal bone loss from periodontal gum disease and see if there is enough bone for the placement of dental implants. Digital x-rays are quite safe, using the lowest dosage of radiation. In addition they allow both the doctor and patient to see a larger, more accurate view of the teeth, bone and gums.
